Studio Work
I have worked with a variety of artists in the studio, not only with projects I was directly associated with, but as a collaborator on another artist's work.
EVERYDAY IS A LIFETIME
by Nowandformerly
The sophomore follow up to "Alone with Everyone," "Every Day is a Lifetime" continues the same energy and spirit from its predecessor, but with even more flavor.
I wrote my impressions as follows:
"'Everyday Is A Lifetime' encapsulates that exact feeling - both in the beautiful and the ugly. Sometimes, in the hardest of days, time can stand still. Yet, so too does time freeze in the mundane. These songs express all the things within the spectrum of beauty in the Everyday. Meditative grooves give way to a wash of abrasively colorful, nearly psychedelic, ruminations on what it means to be alive in temporary forever."
I contributed Piano, Bells, Guitar, Horns, Woodwinds on Tracks 1, 3, and 9.

Alone with Everyone
by Nowandformerly
Alone with Everyone is a beautiful Debut Full-Length by Bay Area Musician Kevin Figueroa, AKA Nowandformerly. Including Collaborations from a plethora of artists, such as Nae Alma, Ezra Teshome, Kaleb Saldate & Ernesto Barajas, this album is a simply stated and strongly presented work of art that will no doubt stand the test of the difficult times ahead of all of us. We are alone, but at least it's together, with everyone.
I had the pleasure of contributing Horns on "The Art of Listening", Bass on "Screen Time Worship", and Clarinet, Guitar, and Piano to "Your Memory is Unwelcome (feat. Kaleb Saldate)".
You can buy the album here.
Us Underwater
by Ezra Teshome
The first EP from Ezra Teshome, this album is a culmination of the musical and personal experiences / influences since his youth. Covering the topics of his Ethiopian ancestry, uncertainty, and overcoming sadness, "Us Underwater" is a bold step into the world of music for Ezra. I was lucky enough to provide the Guitar work for all of the album, as well as cowrite the music for the track "Diaspora".
